Project Overview: High-Voltage H-Bridge Inverter (Full-Bridge Inverter) In this project, we have designed and built a high-voltage H-bridge inverter, also known as a full-bridge inverter. This type of circuit is crucial in power electronics, as it efficiently converts high DC voltage into high AC voltage with a modified sine wave output.

The main circuit of an inverter includes an inverter DC power supply, IGBT bridge inverter, protection circuits, high frequency high voltage transformers, and high frequency high voltage silicon stack (Rectifier).

How does a high-voltage full bridge inverter work?

A high-voltage full bridge inverter works by converting the DC voltage V1 to a high-frequency square wave AC voltage. This AC voltage is then supplied to a 20kHz frequency high-voltage transformer T1, which, after the boost rectifier, provides power to the load. The inverter high-voltage full bridge drives the routing components and the IGBT power modules.

Since this H bridge is used for inverter applications, it will switch high voltage DC to 50Hz AC and for this I had previously made a high voltage DC-DC converter that will convert 12V DC from a typical lead acid battery to about 300V DC. This output voltage is adjustable and remains stable due to active feedback circuit.
